Therapeutic Early Childhood Program Supervisor - Full Time

Provides supervision, technical assistance, and support to teacher/interventionists in the therapeutic early childhood program, including classroom and home visit activities.  Manages personnel including hiring, orientation, training, ongoing professional development, and disciplinary actions.  Ensures compliance with state, county and relief nursery standards and regulations (Child Care Division, health, sanitation, USDA, and others).  Assists staff members in crisis and emergency situations with families. Maintains and manages Intake process, classroom, and caseload for all families eligible for the program. Manages USDA food program including compliance with food service, menus, and reporting.

Director of Finance and Administration - Full Time

The Director of Finance and Administration position will provide leadership and direction to the fiscal and administrative operations of Family Tree Relief Nursery. Director interacts with both internal and external clients, staff, members of the Board of Directors, representatives of local, state and the federal government, and the public at large.

Through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the principles of the organization, the Director of Finance and Administration provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the organization has the proper fiscal and operational controls, administrative support, reporting procedures, and systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to achieve excellence and success.

Fiscal management comprises 80% of job responsibilities. Administrative and operational management comprises 20% of job responsibilities.

Director will be responsible for recording all income and expense transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and accounting adjustments as needed; prepare service contract invoices and track contract outcomes; reconcile bank and credit card statements; prepare payroll data from timesheets for accountant; assist in planning and presenting annual budget plans and reporting budget outcomes; work closely with the Board Treasurer and Finance Committee on financial oversight and planning; assist with year-end financial statements and audits required by funders; and review, maintain, and adapt internal standards and controls.

Bilingual Teacher/Interventionist – Center Based  - Full Time - Two positions available

Plan, coordinate and implement the curriculum for three components of the Relief Nursery child abuse prevention program, including therapeutic early childhood classroom, home visitation, and parent education.  Conduct regular home visits with enrolled families and provide child development and parenting information.  Provide twice-weekly classroom experience for enrolled children, planning & implementing curriculum in accordance with Relief Nursery guidelines.  Other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Program Director.

Requirements:

  • Education & Experience: Associates degree in early childhood education, child development or related field, or attainment of Professional Development Registry level 4, and minimum two years’ experience in an early childhood program.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Exceptions to these requirements may be made with a one-year Professional Development & Training Plan in place.
  • Must speak and write both Spanish & English fluently.
  • Maintain enrollment in the State Central Background Registry.
  • Must have reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license for state of residency, and have a driving record permitting coverage under the corporate liability policy.  If driving a personal vehicle for work purposes must also have and maintain personal auto liability coverage.
  • All work performed must be in alignment with the philosophy, mission and values of Family Tree Relief Nursery.
  • Exhibit dependability, flexibility, punctuality and strong time management skills.
  • Demonstrate emotional maturity and stability.
  • Must attend or have record of recent training of mandatory reporting and demonstrate basic knowledge of child maltreatment indicators and prevention of abuse.
  • Have or obtain, and maintain, pediatric CPR/First Aid training and valid food handler’s card.
